'What the day may include' are guidelines only. What actually gets covered on the day will be determined by what the Assessor needs to see the candidates demonstrate. Their goal however, is to provide you with an educational, fun and safe day out.

Model Client Requirements:	Age 16yrs and above. Previous paddling experience on flatwater, some river experience good but not essential. Can provide own equipment (paddle jacket, helmet, PFD, spray deck, paddle, multisport boat or sea kayak, air bags). Not suitable for those that can confidently paddle Grade 2 rivers in an advanced kayak.
What the day might include:	2 day instruction on various multisport kayaking skills such as fitting of equipment, flat-water and moving water skills, rescues, river features and hazards. Includes a Grade 2 river trip.

Under 18 yr olds must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them and also participates as a model client. For Rock courses only, adults can choose not to participate but must stay onsite to supervise under 18’s.
