'What the day may include' are guidelines only. What actually gets covered on the day will be determined by what the Assessor needs to see the candidates demonstrate. Their goal however, is to provide you with an educational, fun and safe day out.

Model Client Requirements:	Age 14yrs and above. Basic flatwater kayak skills useful. Water confidence essential. Rental fee for kayaking equipment hire (approx. $50 per day) and pool hire (usually $10pp).
What the day might include:	2 days kayak instruction. Learning progressions from paddling on flat water through to paddling on a Grade 2 river. You will be going upside down in your kayak and you will be taught how to keep yourself safe and also start the process of learning to roll your kayak.

Under 18 yr olds must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them and also participates as a model client. For Rock courses only, adults can choose not to participate but must stay onsite to supervise under 18’s.
