'What the day may include' are guidelines only. What actually gets covered on the day will be determined by what the Assessor needs to see the candidates demonstrate. Their goal however, is to provide you with an educational, fun and safe day out.

Model Client Requirements:	Age 15yrs and above Knowledge of climbing basics Can tie in and comfortably climb Grade 15 Competent with top roping and belaying (using an ATC or similar not a GriGri) May have started to learn lead climbing Possible climbing wall entry fee if wet (usually $15).
What the day might include:	½ day introductory session on lead climbing. Learn about lead belaying, safe clipping techniques and if time allows, how to clean the route.

Under 18 yr olds must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them and also participates as a model client. For Rock courses only, adults can choose not to participate but must stay onsite to supervise under 18’s.
