'What the day may include' are guidelines only. What actually gets covered on the day will be determined by what the Assessor needs to see the candidates demonstrate. Their goal however, is to provide you with an educational, fun and safe day out.

Model Client Requirements:	Aspiring Canyon 1 instructor/guide. Close to 20 days experience canyoning or from pursuits with transferable skills (e.g. rock climbing and caving). Strong swimmer, manages cold, high level of fitness and agility, abseiling experience and confident jumping from height . Rental fee for canyoning equipment (up to $70)
What the day might include:	1-day advanced guided canyoning trip. Potential for challenging approach, difficult abseils and slides, rock climbing moves up to Grade 15, swimming in strong currents, jumps up to 10m and prolonged cold conditions.

Under 18 yr olds must be accompanied by an adult who is responsible for them and also participates as a model client. For Rock courses only, adults can choose not to participate but must stay onsite to supervise under 18’s.
