This assessment is being run by Adventure Specialties Trust, Christchurch. The course fee indicated is the NZOIA Free Range Assessment fee only and does not include the Assessor fee. The holder of this qualification can lead sea kayak activities on flat or sheltered water, including estuaries, river deltas, sheltered beaches, lakes, coastal inlets and swimming pools, when the following environmental conditions apply:
- Wind does not exceed 15 knots
- Swell and wave height does not exceed 0.5m
- No significant tidal flow
Two-day assessment.
