This is a two-day pre assessment training course to help prepare candidates for a Canyon Leader assessment.
The Canyon Leader qualification is for people who lead and manage trips in canyons up to v2a2II. In addition, the canyon leader can assist a NZOIA Canyon 1 or 2 holder in canyons up to v3a3III.
Complete the NZOIA Canyon Leader Summary Sheet and a logbook as part of your training for the assessment. You do not need to have the required logged days to attend the training course.
NZOIA subsidises all courses by sourcing funding through organisations such as Sport NZ.
