Alpine
Alpine 1 - Instructor
This qualification is for people who are organising and leading others on trips of two to three days in alpine or snow environments in all seasons, on non-technical ground (where a rope is not normally required), and where snow is normally encountered. Three-day assessment.
Please note: Bush 1 is now a pre-requisite for Alpine 1.
Alpine 2 - Senior Instructor
This qualification is for people who are organising and leading others on multi-day trips in alpine environments, on both technical and non-technical ground, where snow is almost always encountered, and where a rope may be required to improve margins of safety. It is also for people instructing other alpine and outdoor instructors and leaders. Four-day assessment.
